The use of Intrinsically Safe Cell Phone i.Safe Mobile CHALLENGER 2.0 takes out the extra worry in your mind about safety in Zone 2. There was a time when calling and sending messages in hazardous areas was very demanding and difficult but with the use of intrinsic phones, communication became more safe, efficient and flawless. I love the technology that these phones was able to embed their their systems, it makes the job easier and gives you peace of mind.

CHALLENGER 2.1 is a standard mobile based on 2G I can confirm the following:

      Picture (jpg / pdf) viewer
      – Image Viewer is installed
      Music (mp3) played
      – Audio Player is installed
The ability to synchronize with a PC, poss via external/third party software
      – No. Software solution is not available. To synchronize contacts please find a description below.
The ability to act as a (3G) dongle when connected to a PC
      – No. Device is only working on 2G.
To save contacts from Outlook to the CHALLENGER 2.x, proceed as follows:
The CHALLENGER 2.x can only process contact data in VCF format!
      WINDOWS / OUTLOOK
Use the export function from Outlook to export your contacts as a CSV file.
CHALLENGER 2.x reads only vCard (vcf files), so the data file from Outlook needs to be converted.
A simple, free available software tool from the WWW can help: http://www.csvtovcard.com/
(no guarantee, warranty on third-party software!).
Once you have converted the file into a VCF file, you simply rename it to: “~ vcard.vcf” (important that exactly this name is used).
After this file, the CHALLENGER 2.x automatically searches for restoring contacts.
Save this file directly to an installed SD card.
Now use the import function of the telephone book. Proceed as follows:
Menu – Phonebook – Options – Phonebook settings – Restore contacts – confirm with “Yes”
The CHALLENGER 2.x will check for the ~ vcard.vcf file in memory and import the file accordingly.
