The COPPUS® Model CP-20 Turbo Blower / Exhauster is a heavy-duty, turbine-driven pneumatic ventilator engineered for safe, high-capacity air movement up to 11,000 CFM in hazardous confined spaces. Powered by compressed air or steam with zero electrical components, it eliminates ignition risks during tank degassing, vessel cooling, and purge operations across oil, gas, and petrochemical facilities.
| Country of Origin | United States (US) |
The COPPUS® Model CP-20 is an industrial-grade, turbine-driven fan engineered for high-volume air movement, rapid cooling, and hazardous tank degassing. Operating without any electrical motors or wiring, the CP-20 runs purely on steam or compressed air, making it inherently safe and ideal for explosive vapor atmospheres, refineries, offshore rigs, and confined space vessel ventilation where ignition risks must be completely eliminated.
Delivering up to 11,000 CFM at 3,500 RPM, the CP-20 features a heat-treated aluminum alloy 6-bladed axial propeller and peripheral stainless steel turbine blades. Dual-nozzle inlet options allow seamless operation across varying air/steam pressure ranges (40 to 150 psig). Designed for rapid turnaround operations, it incorporates dual mounting flanges that allow it to function instantly as either a positive-pressure blower or a suction exhauster in any orientation.

Does the COPPUS CP-20 require electrical wiring or explosion-proof motor starters?
No. The CP-20 is completely mechanical and powered exclusively by compressed air or steam, eliminating the need for electrical connections, motor starters, or electrical explosion-proof enclosures.
Can the CP-20 be used for both pushing air in and extracting fumes out?
Yes. The CP-20 features identical flanges on both the inlet and outlet sides, allowing it to be bolted to manways and tank openings as either a positive-pressure blower or a suction exhauster.
Can both inlet nozzles be connected at the same time?
No. Only one nozzle must be connected at a time depending on line pressure: the low-pressure nozzle (40–80 psig) or the high-pressure nozzle (80–150 psig). Connecting high pressure to the low-pressure port can overspeed the unit.
Is an external exhaust port or line required for the drive medium?
No. The driving air or steam automatically expands through the internal turbine blades and discharges directly into the fan’s central airflow, eliminating separate exhaust pipework.
