This conversion process ensures suitability for gas/vapor Zone 2 and dust Zone 22 hazardous areas. ATEX Zone 2/22 corresponds to US NEC Class 1 Division 2 (C1D2) and Class 2 Division 2 (C2D2) standards.

Modification of the casing and integration of intrinsically safe electrical circuits enable compliance with ATEX/EX regulations while retaining all original product features. Even features like Face ID can be utilized safely in hazardous environments.
