The Honeywell Granit 1981i Intrinsically Safe Industrial Barcode Scanner is now available and is built to withstand the rigors of severe working conditions. It has full-range area-imaging technology, which allows it to read 1D and 2D barcodes across a wide range of distances. The Granit 1981i scanner is designed to scan a wide variety of codes, from low-quality 2 mil codes at close range to 100 mil codes hanging from warehouse rafters at a distance of 52 feet (16m). The Granit 1981i scanner is contained in the Granit housing, which has set the standard for scanner dependability for many years. It has an IP65 rating and can resist 5,000 tumbles from a height of 1 m (3.3 ft) and 50 drops to concrete from a height of 2 m (6.5 ft) – even at -20°C (-4°F). As a consequence, businesses that use Granit barcode scanners may expect the reduced total cost of ownership and less downtime.

The Granit 1981i scanner allows optimum operator productivity in the roughest settings thanks to its unrivaled range and wireless flexibility.

The Granit 1981i scanner is loaded with user-friendly technology. A built-in laser pointer aiming system with auto-illumination, omnidirectional reading capabilities, and centering capability eliminates the guesswork associated with scanning at extended ranges.

Operators of fork trucks outfitted with mobile computers attached on the vehicle. Honeywell Thor series operators will enjoy how the Granit 1981i scanner’s full-range scanning feature enables them to stay seated – and hence more productive – while scanning pallets at extended ranges. Additionally, with Bluetooth technology, the operator has total freedom of movement up to 100 meters (330 feet) away.
