The Pepperl+Fuchs PSE4-SL-01 is a high-performance safety thru-beam sensor designed as a core component of the modular PSE4 safety edge system. Engineered for critical safety applications in industrial and hazardous environments, this optical sensor pair provides continuous monitoring along protective edges, automatically detecting obstacles and interrupting movement to protect personnel and machinery.
Featuring an IP68 fully encapsulated housing, the PSE4-SL-01 provides extreme resistance against harsh field conditions, including moisture, water, and dust ingress. Operating on a dynamic modulated infrared light principle with evaluation via the PSE4-SC-01 safety control unit, the sensor achieves functional safety performance up to Performance Level e (PL e, Cat. 4) according to ISO 13849-1, ensuring seamless integration without requiring additional mounting materials.
