Product Description

The RPS-429A-IS is an intrinsically safe analog ultrasonic sensor designed for non-contact level and distance measurement in hazardous areas. It is approved for use in gas and dust environments classified as Zone 0, 1, 2, 20, 21, or 22 for ATEX and IECEx, and Class I, II, or III for cULus when installed with an approved intrinsic safety barrier. Functions with 14-30 V DC operation, reverse polarity protection, and two output options: 4-20 mA or 1-5 V. Refer to the manual for installation details.

The RPS-429A-IS Intrinsically Safe Ultrasonic Sensor is a robust, non-contact sensing solution designed for accurate level and distance measurement in hazardous and explosive environments. As part of Migatron’s third generation of intrinsically safe ultrasonic sensors, the RPS-429A-IS is engineered for demanding industrial applications where safety, reliability, and performance are critical.

When installed with an approved intrinsic safety barrier, the RPS-429A-IS can be safely used in hazardous gas and dust environments classified as Zone 0, 1, 2, 20, 21, or 22 under ATEX, IECEx, and ANZEx standards, as well as Class I, II, or III hazardous locations under UL and cUL requirements. Its sealed industrial enclosure provides dependable performance in harsh environments commonly found in oil & gas, mining, petroleum, and chemical processing facilities.
