Product Overview

12/3 MC-HL Cable – Continuously Welded Armor Cable – C1D1 / C2D1 – 600 V

This cable is a 12 AWG (3-conductor) metal-clad MC-HL cable with continuously welded, corrugated aluminum armor, designed specifically for hazardous-area use (Class I Div 1/2 and Class II Div 1/2) and sold by the foot for flexible run lengths. It enables safe power distribution in oil & gas, chemical, mining and industrial environments where robust protection and certification are required.

The assembly features stranded soft-drawn annealed copper conductors with PVC insulation (15 mils + 4 mils nylon), a left-hand lay bundle with non-wicking fillers, an aluminum/polyester shield with 7-strand tinned-copper drain wire, inner PVC jacket (with rip-cord), and outer black PVC jacket over a continuously welded armor that exceeds NEC grounding requirements. Nominal OD is 0.580″ over armor (0.690″ overall), weight approximately 0.24 lb/ft. It is UL listed for MC and MC-HL type, approved for cable tray, sunlight and oil resistant, and direct burial capable. It meets UL 83, UL 1581, UL 1569, UL 2225 and NEC Articles 250-118, 501, 502, 503, 504, 505, 725.
