Where should this breather drain be installed on the enclosure?
The breather drain must always be installed at the lowest possible point of the enclosure baseplate to permit complete gravity evacuation of accumulating condensate.
How does the castellated locknut function during installation?
When mounting through a clearance hole (Ø 20.0 mm to 20.5 mm), the slotted teeth of the castellated nut must face directly against the internal wall to allow standing condensation to drain through the slots into the fitting.
Can the internal HDPE filter element be cleaned?
Yes, the porous HDPE core can be inspected and backflushed using clean water or low-pressure compressed air during standard plant maintenance turnarounds.
What is the recommended tightening torque for installation?
The fitting should be torqued to approximately 27.0 N·m for M20 stainless steel to ensure full compression of the captive O-ring without deforming the sealing seat.
