History
Hand sanitisers were first introduced in 1966, but only in medical settings such as hospitals and healthcare facilities. Later, in the early 1990s, hand sanitisers became widely popularized. To be precise, Lupe Hernandez, a registered nurse in Bakersfield, California, invented hand sanitisers in 1966. Hernandez learned how to deliver cleaning alcohol via a gel so that cleaning could occur without soap and water during her studies to become a nurse. The alcohol in hand sanitisers kills germs and bacteria found on hands.
Usage
Disinfecting all exposed surfaces around the fingernails, between the fingers, the back of the thumb, and around the wrist is optimal for one’s well-being. Additionally, hand sanitiser works best when thoroughly rubbed into your hands and on the lower forearm for at least 30 seconds. Then, allow your hands and arms to air dry.
In a healthcare setting, an Alcohol-based (liquid) hand sanitiser is more convenient compared to handwashing with soap and water in most situations. It is generally more effective at killing microorganisms and better tolerated than soap and water. However, handwashing should still occur if contamination can be seen or following the use of the toilet.
Our hand sanitiser uses the highest quality Ethyl Alcohol, suitable to kill 99.99% of germs and bacteria. Furthermore, our sanitiser complies with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) requirements to provide you with pathogen-free sanitization.
This liquid sanitiser decreases infectious agents on the hands. It is generally more effective at killing micro-organisms and better tolerated than soap and water.
