In order to listen to radio transmissions in privacy, the remote speaker is held in place by an ear loop made of soft, lightweight rubber. Right or left ear wear is possible. Uses speaker microphones in combination with this device to provide private conversation. Military, industrial, and commercial use are all ideal applications.

The jacks are available in right-angle and straight versions with diameters ranging from 2.5mm to 3.5mm.
