Introducing the HDTTM Loop-Powered Aluminum Oxide Sensor Dew Point Transmitter
The HDTTM Dew Point Transmitter delivers exceptional performance in demanding environments with its advanced Hyper-Thin-Film (HTFTM) Aluminum Oxide Sensor Technology. Designed for fast, accurate, and low-maintenance operation, this transmitter is ideal for applications in semiconductor manufacturing, hydrocarbon processing, catalyst protection, heat treating, industrial gases, and dryer control.
Key Features:
- Rugged and Waterproof: The HDT’s stainless steel housing and IP65-rated connector (with optional IP66 or IP67 ratings) ensure durability in harsh conditions.
- Fast and Accurate: HTFTM Aluminum Oxide Sensor Technology provides precise measurements with unmatched speed and stability.
- Loop-Powered Operation: Compatible with 5 to 28 VDC power sources, featuring both HART-compliant digital output and 4-20mA analog output.
- Programmable Alarm Signal: Built-in alarm signal for critical dew point thresholds.
- Compact Design: Measuring only 32 mm in diameter and 136 mm in length, the HDT is the world’s smallest loop-powered dew point transmitter.
- Temperature Compensated Calibration: Ensures accuracy across a wide temperature range from -10°C to +70°C (+14°F to +158°F).
- Versatile Connections: Interfaces with both metric 14 mm x 1.25 mm threads and unified 3/4″-16 threads, with other thread forms available.
Hyper-Thin-Film (HTF) Al2O3 Moisture Sensor Technology
The HDT uses a Hyper-Thin-Film (HTFTM) high capacitance aluminum oxide sensor with a measuring range of -100°C to +20°C (-148°F to +68°F). This advanced sensor technology offers a level of accuracy, response speed, and stability that surpasses conventional aluminum oxide or polymer sensors. The sensor remains unaffected by condensation and liquid water, resuming accurate measurements without recalibration once dried.
HART-Compliant Transmitter
The HDT is a HART-compliant dew point transmitter, providing both analog (4-20mA) and digital outputs. Its compact, stainless steel housing measures only 32 mm in diameter and 136 mm in length, making it ideal for space-constrained applications.
Analog and Digital Output Loops
The analog output is linear to the programmed units, with a resolution of 0.1°C(dp) or 0.25uA. The digital output, modulated on the 4-20mA loop, allows remote operation and multi-channel configuration, where each HDT draws a fixed 4mA.
Built-in Alarm and Connections
The HDT features a factory-programmable dew point alarm and interfaces with standard and custom thread forms. It connects via an inexpensive two-conductor cable for long-distance applications.
With its robust design and advanced features, the HDTTM Dew Point Transmitter is the optimal solution for accurate and reliable dew point measurement in the most challenging environments.
